During his daily press briefing, Sean Spicer was asked about members of the Trump campaign team that had contacts with Russia. He responded with, “. . . And then obviously there has been some discussion of Paul Manafort, who played a very limited role for a very limited amount of time, but beyond that.”

That is a lie. Paul  Manafort joined Trump’s campaign in March 2016, and headed the campaign as its national chairman from April 2016 until his resignation in August 2016(after word of his payment by a pro-Russian Ukrainian got out).
