The Powerful Senate Investigation Into Russia’s Election Interference

The Senate appears to be undertaking a very thorough and serious investigation into the Russian interference in our election last November. And they are not limiting it to just interference in the US election, but also what Russia is doing in other countries.
What seems very obvious to me is that Vladimir Putin and Russia have moved on from former Soviet domination of neighbors and countries open to their ideology to a new method. They are working hard to get far right candidates elected that are pro-Putin and Russia and are likely to influence those countries toward more conciliatory policies that put Putin and Russia in a better position, without them having to conform to democratic ideals that the west is largely looking for.
It does appear that the Senate is not taking this lightly and is not going to get sucked into a partisan battle that pits a pro-Trump team against a team that is interested in the truth.
