Donald Trump recently said, “There was a very large infrastructure bill that was approved during the Obama administration, a trillion dollars. Nobody ever saw anything being built.”

That is absolutely not true. There were projects all over the country. But he is missing a key fact. The $800M stimulus consisted not only of infrastructure improvements, but 35% went to tax cuts, 18% was aid that went to state governments that were suffering huge revenue shortfalls, and 14% went to extended unemployment benefits.
