The narrative from the right during the Obama Presidency was that China, North Korea, Iran, and Russia were all flexing their muscle because Obama was weak. They felt emboldened because he wouldn’t take action they said, so they did things like buzzing our ships and testing our defenses.
But here we are, three months into the Trump Presidency, a President who was going to be strong, and tough, and show other countries who was boss so this stuff would stop.
It hasn’t stopped. Maybe it has less to do with a strong or weak President and more to do with countries that feel threatened and also find that they can bolster internal support by acting tough. You know. Like when a certain President launched cruise missiles at Syria.
