Republican Lie Of The Day

Faced by a hostile crowd of constituents that were unhappy he voted for AHCA bill, Idaho Republican Rep. Raul Labrador made the most outrageous lie I think we’ve heard from Republicans trying to justify swapping tax cuts on the rich for elimination of healthcare for regular Americans.
When told he passed legislation that would kill people, Labrador said, “No one wants anybody to die,” Labrador said. “You know, that line is so indefensible. Nobody dies because they don’t have access to health care.”
Prior to the enactment of Obamacare, a study published by the American Journal of Public Health found that some 45,000 Americans died each year due to lack of health coverage.
In fairness to Raul Labrador, the only way Republicans can sell this horrible bill is to lie, because there is nothing good about it for the bulk of the American public. Unless you happen to be rich and find yourself getting a tax cut from the law.
