Trump Distractions

The president has been on a tear this week. Threatening Iran. Tweeting about how the FBI released Carter Page warrant somehow was politically motivated. Threatening to remove security clearance from those that criticize him (some of whom no longer have security clearance anyway). Tweeting about how Russia is going to help Democrats because no president has been tougher on Russia.
These are all distractions, and often projections. They are designed specifically to get the media and his critics talking about something else. Something other than the corruption. Something other than the disassembly of our democratic republic. Something other than the trade wars that are hurting real Americans throughout the country. Something other than the immigrant children STILL not reunited with their parents.
So keep paying attention to what matters. Like this little gem about how Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke’s staff purposely ignored and tried to hide input on the recent downsizing of national monuments. They did not consider the revenue to local populations or the protection of antiquities. But as often happens in incompetent administrations, they accidentally released the information they were trying to hide!
It was all so they could help their friends in the mining, logging, and drilling industries.
