A US Congress Spineless AF…1

According to one of the Washington Post headline’s yesterday: Democrats all but acknowledge Kavanaugh is headed toward confirmation to Supreme Court.
Just a few reminders of why this is enraging:
- Roe v Wade
- Affordable Care Act
- Kavanaugh’s own false testimony, documents apparently too difficult to make public in time for confirmation hearings
- Ubiquitous white supremacy
Shame on all our elected officials who concede to this nominee, especially Collins (R), Murkowski (R) and Heitkamp (D). Maine, Alaska and North Dakota residents, if you have a modicum of conscience, and if your senators votes for Kavanaugh, vote them out.
The few undeclared Republicans and Democrats have indicated they are open to voting for the judge, whose Senate confirmation hearings will get underway the first week in September.
…Forty-nine of the 51 Republican senators have expressed their full support or likely backing, shifting the focus to two GOP swing votes — Collins and Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska — and three centrist Democrats who backed Gorsuch — Joe Manchin III (W.Va.), Heidi Heitkamp (N.D.) and Joe Donnelly (Ind.).
….Some Democrats expect the three senators, who face reelection in solid Trump states, to vote for the judge.
Back in 2006 when we had a president with a spine, leading GOP Hypocrite Mitch McConnell said:
“One of my proudest moments was when I looked Barack Obama in the eye and I said, ‘Mr. President, you will not fill the Supreme Court vacancy.'”
McConnell was not alone. The 11 Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee signed a letter saying they had no intention of consenting to any nominee from Obama. No proceedings of any kind were held on Garland’s appointment. Read the full story from NPR.
Every day I’m more ashamed of the government officials representing me in Washington D.C.
Evolution isn’t happening, it’s time for revolution.
