The Tale of Two Stories

February 7, 2015 by Chris Kite

I recently read a pair of stories about a new advocacy group called “Got Your Six.” In simple terms it is a group that will certify films that accurately portray veterans in film. But that isn’t the story I’m interested in.

In the Washington Examiner article, First Lady Michelle Obama and actor Bradley Cooper were both mentioned. As you would expect.

In the “Conservative Tribune,” Michelle Obama wasn’t even at the event. It was all Bradley Cooper. Not that I have anything against Bradley Cooper or the significance of his role in playing Chris Kyle in the movie American Sniper. But you would think the first lady would at least get a mention. But to a right wing propaganda site such as the Conservative Tribune, Michelle Obama is the enemy and thus could not possibly recognized for doing something they approve of. After all, it might cause problems with the right wing nut jobs that skewer Michelle Obama on a regular basis.

Shame on them. But then again, are we really surprised?

Not the least bit surprised. “news” that fits their spin.
