The floodgates are opening. Citizens United made the US Government more corrupt and less transparent. It has furthered our slippery slide toward a government not for the people and by the people, but a government for corporations and by corporations. So what does Congress do? They slip a sneaky little change into “must pass” legislation and increase campaign contributions to the two major party committees by a factor of 10.

That’s right! Now individuals can give up to $324,000 to the DNC or the RNC. Of course the old limit was already well above what the average citizen could give. So this new rule certainly doesn’t help make sure government is representing “the people.” Instead, it insures that government will be representing the extremely wealthy. You know, the people that already have a huge advantage and are hardly suffering from legislation that makes their lives harder.

Yet another shameful law by a shameful group. Our Congress!
