If the explosion in New York was in a very public place and was intentional, doesn’t that make it terrorism?
Just because it might not fit Donald Trump’s vision of a Syrian refugee, wearing a hijab, and screaming “death to America, praise Allah,” doesn’t make it any less terrifying. Terrorism doesn’t fit one mold, despite what the right tries to tell us.
Timothy McVeigh, Eric Rudolph, Robert Dear, Dylann Roof, and Frazier Miller were all terrorists. None of was Muslim, so many don’t view, ” their type” as a problem.
I guess when there’s no illusion that we can solve the problem by bombing the crap out of someone in the Middle East, we don’t want to recognize it as terrorism. This could turn out to be either. But it is most certainly terrorism!
