It comes as no surprise that in their quest to turn everything into more profits for the rich Republicans are working hard to dramatically weaken the endangered species act.

They want to weigh profits against saving species from extinction. The thing is, extinction is forever. Profits should not matter when it comes to protecting a species from extinction. Science tells us the planet’s species are all interrelated. Kill off one, and it impacts many others.

Republicans need to learn to do the moral thing. They need to do the right thing. We’ve got one planet. We’ve got one chance. With few exceptions, profit is of far less concern than the future of the planet. Biodiversity is critical to our future. Endangered species are critical to our future.

Republicans should stop trying to destroy the planet so their rich friends can get richer!
