President Donald Trump has shown his ability to sink to depths few would have believed just a few short years ago.
He fails to perform his job. He is nasty and bitter. He lies without guilt. He attacks anyone that is not “loyal” to him. And he lacks any sense of basic human decency!
This week’s episode with the soldiers killed in Niger, he has exhibited his most atrocious behavior yet. And THAT is quite a statement.
He is absolutely without compassion. I don’t think for one minute that he would have written letters, called, or acknowledged the loss of those brave American’s lives if the question had not been asked in public. He talked about the letters and calls like they were done and carefully planned, but it sure sounded to me like he was making it up on the fly. Because the letters hadn’t been sent and the calls had not been made.
Even if you want to give him the benefit of the doubt, and think that he was already working on them, it is hard to imagine anyone defending him on this. To try to deflect by telling us how much better than other President’s he is at being compassionate to the families of fallen soldiers is a new low for him. To attempt to bring General Kelly into it, who has repeatedly stated that he doesn’t want to publicly talk about his son’s death, proves his inability to be a human being. He must always win. No matter how low he has to go to do it.
